Creative makeup with Thea

scroll

As most of you may already know since the start of 2017 i  have decided to take more of a creative approach to my modelling. So far i have already organised 2 events that have all been a sell out!! I do have a few more planned over the next few months, that will include working with some outstanding artists within this industry. I worked with so many amazing people on these events and i just wanted to dictate this page to everyone of them.

If you are interested in booking onto one of these special groups please see to my diary for more dates. These events take alot of time and planning to setup as every makeup idea has been different from the last, all of them have been planned at different locations so you never know there could be one coming soon to you.

The reason why i started to do these events as it gives people a chance to network with other people in this industry at a reasonable price.

I do try my best to get these incredible images published as i feel they are truly amazing and i just want to show them to the world.

Golden Girl Duo

This was My first ever creative makeup event i have done back in march 2017. i decided that for this idea i would work alongside another model, who is interested in this type of makeup for their portfolio.

I had already met Elle before at a few networking events and decided she would be a good model to join in and i was right. The event took place over at denbystar studio, over in wakefeild , 14 people attened this event which took place over a weekend.

The photographers were amazed by the images that produced over the weekend, i have never been in a room surrounded by that many people. The makeup only took a few hours to apply and we both had 2 different looks through out each day, this was so that not everyone got the same image (Good thinking aye).

As this event went so well i decided to carry doing at least 1 creative makeup a month.

Creative Pin-Point

The creative Pin point shoot has been by far one of my most successful events, the amount of creativity that was put into this shoot is amazing. All the makeup was done by hand by a very talented MUA from Leeds, in fact i would say shes the best mua in England so far!! Anyone interested in working with dorota i do highly recommend her.

The photographers and assistant mua who turnt up too were all incredible, they all had there own style of taking the images and everyone was just amazed with the out come of their work. it just goes to show not all modelling is about high fashion, you also have to think outside of the box.

Warrior Queen

This warrior theme was inspired by  the america fantasy drama ' Game of Thrones '. This time around we had a Mua and A desinger on board and the whole shoot took place at my local studio in Lincoln Studio2212. The whole day was amazing we did a few outside with a smoke and a snow machie, and everyone came away with some fantastic images from the day.

Dorota was are mua for the day and once again she blew us all out of the water with the creative make up she come up with to fit the whole theme. before anyone ask no this isnt all my own real hair we have used a few extensions to achieve this look.

The Armour is all handmade by one of my good friends norse dragon armoury, who spends god knows how much time to make the most perfect armour outfits.

We do hope to get some of these published but for now we will have to wait and see what comes along.

here are a few images taken by each photographer who came along to the warrior event.

Mrs Jigsaw

Mrs Jigsaw is inspired by an american horror franchise, that revoles around a man called john kramer (aka Jigsaw). Kramer is dying from cancer, he tried to commit suicide but after that faied attempt, he then found a new way of apprication of his life.

Kramer decided to dictate the rest of his life to inspire other people the same apprication by testing their power/will to live. By doing this he would play games with the other people by putting them in seriously dangerous/life threatening situations. These games are symbolic to what Jigsaw perceived as a flaw in each persons character or life.

He was given the name Jigsaw by the Media and to the people he played games with. Because if they didnt servive the tests/Games, he would cut a jigsaw piece from their flesh. This was to represent that each of his victims were missing something, which Jigsaw would call survival instinct.

Too get this look it took Dorota Mua, over 5 hours to apply. Which included transfroming hair colour from brown - black and from straight to big, puffy and wild. The makeup was done by airbrush to get a flawless coverage but it did mean i had to drink from a straw to make it stay on longer. Here are a few images captured from the photographers on this event.

Ice Queen

The Ice queen makeup was my last creative makeup shoot of 2017, As it was Christmas we did decide on a theme around it.

As always its was a pleasure to be able to model this look, everyone was impressed with the idea, as it was a very last min thing we had put together.

The makeup itself took under 2 hours to apply, this is the shortest time i have ever been in the makeup chair. My hair Hasn't been coloured to white for those who are worrying, we used a wig to help achieve this look. An airbrush was used to achieve the flawless white look to the face to make it more ice/frosty.

As always the event was held at my favourite little studio in Lincoln studio 2212, along with a new Mua who has joined on board of the creative boat Nicola Whitfield, Im sure you will be seeing more of her work on my website, so keep a watch out. .

Queen Of Colour

Kicking off the start of 2018, myself & the very talented Dorota MUA decided to bring in another epic messy shoot.

This this was all about using various coloured paint and liquid latex to create more texture, The makeup took around 6-7 hours to apply. Dorota did most of the work by blowing throw a straw to gain control of the body paint and blowing it around the body (which you dont see Mua's do often).

The whole event was another SELL OUT, everyone fully enjoyed themselves and captured some incredible images.

Wonder Woman

Wonder Woman is an American super hero based upon DC Comic and a new film has been recently released out in the cinema. As Wonder Woman is very popular the creative team decided to do their own retake of wonder woman with body painter Armour.. Louise Briggs was highy recommend to me as a body painter, so we chose her to help us achieve this look.

The overall painting design took around 4 hours to apply the paint to a full body, Hair & makeup was done by myself for the very first time but it wont be the last.

This fantastic event was also held over at my favorite studio in Lincoln and of course it was another Sell out.

Queen Of Hearts

The Queen of Hearts is a fictional character from the book Alice's Adventures in Wonderland by the writer Lewis Carroll, in which she appears as the primary antagonist. She is a foul-tempered monarch whom Carroll himself describes as "a blind fury", and who is quick to give death sentences at the slightest offense. One of her most famous lines she states often is "Off with their heads!". I choose this idea because it was simple and easy. Makeup was done by the lovely toni Cheshier based in Birmingham, please go check out her work

   Glitter Alien

Kicking off the summer we have landed another Epic creative theme. This time myself and dorota decided to make something big, using full body paints, glitter, glay & latex. Dorota also kindly handmade some props that were used for the shoot, both the headdress & shoulder pads.

This theme took around 6 hours to apply the makeup plus touchups throughout the day. The day wass an amazing turn out and everyone enjoyed themself which is always a bonus for me and the creative team.
